Overview of sports in travel tnsurance
These sports are automatically covered under our travel insurance - no need for additional coverage.
- Basic sports:
Aerobics, airsoft, aqua aerobics, athletics, badminton, baseball, basketball, biathlon, bowling, bubble football, boomerang, bungee running, bungee trampoline, curling, cycling, dragon boats, duathlon, fitness and bodybuilding, floorball, footbag, football, frisbee, goalball, golf, handball, street hockey, mountain biking (not downhill), cheerleading, inline skating, yachting, horse (camel, elephant) riding, yoga and health exercises, canoeing on white water (grades 1 and 2), kickboxing - aerobic, kiteboarding, kitesurfing, scooter riding, cycle-ball, cricket, billiards, bodybuilding, bowling, lacrosse, rope courses up to 1.5 m with trained staff, archery, curling (Czech: metaná), modern gymnastics, foot volleyball, orienteering, pétanque, swimming, beach volleyball, field hockey, radio orienteering, rafting (grades 1 and 2), boat fishing, indoor football, showdown, road running, skiathlon, softball, spinning, sport fishing, sport shooting (target shooting with firearms), squash, table football, table hockey, board games, table tennis, streetball, surfing, synchronized swimming, chess, fencing (classic), darts, snorkeling, ballroom dancing, tennis, tchoukball, trekking, rowing, Via Ferrata A, water skiing, water polo, volleyball, sightseeing flight in a small plane, desert trip, boat trip at sea, high-altitude hiking without mountaineering equipment up to 3,000 m a.s.l., windsurfing, juggling (diabolo, fire show, juggling, yoyo) - Other sports with comparable risk levels.
Recreational Sports:
Travel insurance also covers short-term beach activities purchased directly from a local provider on site, such as:
- Banana boat rides, jet skiing, parasailing, water skiing, scuba diving with an instructor.
To insure these sports, you must choose a tariff that includes adventure and winter sports or add extra coverage.
Winter sports:
- Cross-country skiing on marked trails, bobsledding on marked tracks, ice skating, skibobbing, snowmobile riding, sports sledding, figure skating, ice hockey, alpine skiing and snowboarding on marked slopes, speed skating, snowshoeing, snowbiking.
- Other winter activities with comparable risk levels.
High risk sports:
- Acrobatics and ski jumping, acrobatic dance, American football, combat and contact sports, canoeing on white water grade 3+, kayak rafting, hot-air ballooning, ice climbing on artificial walls (icebreaker), spearfishing, trophy fishing, hunting with firearms, all types of motor and aviation sports, motorized sports on snow, ice or water, mountain boarding, paragliding, parasailing, parachuting, gliding and all types of air sports, scuba diving, rafting (grade 3+) and other white-water sports, sea kayaking, skateboarding, abseiling, tandem skydiving, participation in historical battle reenactments, public sports competitions, Via Ferrata B–D, high-altitude hiking without climbing gear from 3,000 to 5,000 m a.s.l., any type of match or race, hang gliding, professionally practiced sports.
Also included:
- Hiking or trekking on marked trails in areas beyond the Arctic Circle
These activities are not covered at all - even with extra insurance. They are fully excluded from coverage.
- Excluded sports:
Alpinism, base jumping, bull running, bouldering, canyoning, drag racing, freediving, mountaineering, cave diving, ice diving, shark diving, ski mountaineering, ski flying and jumping, bungee jumping, skiing or snowboarding off marked slopes, high-altitude hiking above 5,000 m a.s.l. - Other activities with comparable risk levels.
